Bodnár DánielDániel Bodnár is a teacher trainee majoring in English and history at the University of Debrecen. He joined the Educational Research Internship Program of the Center for Higher Educational Research and Development (CHERD-Hungary) in 2022. His research examines professional communities complementing teacher training at universities in Hungary and at Hungarian-language institutions across the border, with a particular focus on the career aspirations and future plans of minority teacher candidates. As a member of the MTA-DE-Parent-Teacher Cooperation Research Group, he contributed to the development of the K.Ö.SZ.I. board game. His research was awarded 2nd place at the 2025 OTDK, and has been supported by two grants: twice by the University Research Scholarship Program, and three times by the National Higher Education Scholarship. Csajkos BalázsBalázs János Csajkos is a trainee teacher majoring in mathematics, history, and civics at the University of Debrecen. In his research, he examines factor influencing student achievement, with a particular focus on the role of sociocultural and digital background factors; he won a special award at the 2025 National Student Research Conference in the Psychology, Andragogy, and Library Science Section of the 2025 National Student Research Conference. His conference participations include HUCER 2025 and ONK 2025. His current research topic is investigating the relationship between students’ perceptions of teachers’ educational practices, their well-being, and mathematical performance in the three PISA 2022 countries. Csák ZsoltResearcher, MCA – Collegium Professorum Hungarorum Zsolt Csák, a master’s student in educational sciences and researcher at the Makovecz Campus Foundation’s Collegium Professorum Hungarorum. His research focuses on the intergenerational transmission of values and the role these values play in career development and motivations for further education. His research focuses on the concept of future consciousness through expectations, goals, and career interests related to future careers. Kovács KittiA trainee teacher majoring in English and biology. Loving and helping younger children was important to her even as a child, which led her to a career in teaching and motivated her during her mentoring work in the “Let’s Teach for Hungary” program. These experiences provided the foundation for her research topic, conducted with the support of Cintia Csók and Tímea Ceglédi: she examines the role of mentors in shaping young people’s future orientation and value systems. Pelyvás MártonMárton István Pelyvás is a trainee teacher of mathematics and physical education at the University of Debrecen and a member of the CHERD-Hungary research group. In a previous project by MTA-DE-Parent-Teacher Cooperation Research Group, he examined the connections between parental involvement and children’s functional motor skills, a study that earned him first place at the National Student Research Conference. In his current research, he focuses on the connection between sport, health behavior, and future orientation, exploring how a future-oriented mindset shapes young people’s attitudes toward sport and their decisions. His research is guided by the goal of contributing to the scientific foundation of sports education processes and supporting a health-conscious lifestyle among young people. |

Peres István PéterIstván Péter Peres is a student of educational science in the master’s program at the University of Debrecen and an educational research intern in the Educational Research Internship Program of the Center for Higher Educational Research and Development (CHERD-Hungary). His research focuses on examining the popularity and consciousness of the future in Freinet pedagogy since the Millennium. The namesake of this alternative pedagogy also considered preparing for the future to be important throughout his career, as he believed in “educating for life through life.” With his flexible techniques, he placed emphasis on the child’s free self-expression. |

Pető VandaVanda Pető is a trainee teacher majoring in English and chemistry at the University of Debrecen. She has been an intern in the Educational Research Internship Program of the Center for Higher Educational Research and Development (CHERD-Hungary) since 2022, where, under the supervision of Dr. Magdolna Chrappán, she is investigating the impact of inquiry-based learning (IBL) on students’ attitudes toward chemistry.
